A Birth of a Book – Pointe Shoes

Book artist Ido Agassi making the book Pointe Shoes with poems by Ronny Someck.

The process involves hand setting of the type, letterpress printing & innovative hand made binding.

The book contains hand colored prints by the poet. The English text was set in Alt-Mediäval typeface and the Hebrew text in Margalit typeface. The edition is limited to 88 signed and numbered copies, published at the Even Hoshen Private Press.

The film was taken at Agassi’s studio « HaMamlacha ».
